What does nonbinary mean?

Nonbinary is a gender identity that falls outside the traditional binary concept of male and female. Nonbinary individuals do not exclusively identify as strictly male or female; instead, their gender identity may encompass aspects of both, neither, or a different gender entirely. Nonbinary people may use a variety of terms to describe their gender, such as genderqueer, genderfluid, or agender, among others.
